At eleBridal, we understand that every detail matters when it comes to your wedding dress. To ensure a seamless and stress-free experience, we’ve designed a clear process for your bridal alterations and customizations. Here’s what you can expect:

Step 1: Initial Inquiry

Start by filling out the contact form on our Wedding Dress Alterations page. To help us provide the most accurate quote and assessment, include the following details:

  • A description of the alterations or design changes needed.

  • Links to your dress (if available) or uploaded images of the dress.

  • Inspirational image links for design changes or accessories.

  • Information on any factors that may impact the dress fit, such as weight changes, pregnancies, or breastfeeding.

This information allows us to tailor our services to your unique needs.

Step 2: Quote and Scheduling

After receiving your details, we’ll respond promptly with:

  • A detailed quote for your alterations or customizations.

  • A suggested fitting schedule tailored to your timeline and needs.

Step 3: Confirmation and Booking

Once you’ve reviewed the quote and schedule, let us know if you’d like to proceed. We’ll then book your fittings or an initial consultation if required. Two fittings will be scheduled two weeks apart around 8-6 weeks before your wedding date unless there are other factors we need to be considered which could either have your fitting scheduled earlier or closer to your wedding date.

You’ll receive email confirmations for your first and second fittings, along with reminders the day before each appointment.

Included in your confirmation emails of your appointments you will receive all the information needed:

  • Time, date, location, and details on alterations quoted.

  • The direct contact number of your seamstress. Please use this number to inform her of late arrival or any rescheduling, if it is less than 24 hours before your fitting. Otherwise, contact us directly via email.

  • What you would need to bring with you at your fitting and any other useful information.

Step 4: The First Fitting

During your first fitting, we’ll:

  • Pin the dress to achieve the perfect fit.

  • Discuss and finalize any design changes, preferences, or accessory details.

After your first fitting, we will assess your dress closely taking into consideration all details discussed and a final invoice will be sent for you to review and confirm you would like us to proceed with the alterations. We require:

  • 50% payment of the invoice before we begin alterations.

  • Full payment of the invoice is required before the second fitting.

  • For any custom dresses or significant design changes resulting in more than two fittings being booked, the total owing on the invoice will be due before the 3rd fitting.

Important things to be aware of following your first fitting

  • Consider the alterations carefully before confirming

  • No matter how big or small, please raise any concerns or worries before confirming and going ahead with alterations

  • Some alterations are not reversible once performed

  • You will be charged for any alterations requested to be reversed.

  • If you have changed your mind on any alterations please contact us via email and the seamstress by phone or text immediately.

Step 5: The Second Fitting

At your second fitting, your dress should be nearly complete to complete unless significant changes were requested. This fitting allows us to:

  • Ensure the dress fits perfectly.

  • Address any remaining adjustments if needed.

If your dress requires minor tweaks, we’ll schedule a third fitting for the following week.

Step 6: Final Steps

Once all alterations are complete:

  • Your dress can go home with you ready for the big day.

  • Unless storage, pressing and delivery to location services have been requested.

Important Policies to Note:

  • Non-Refundable Alterations: Once alterations have begun, changes may not be reversible, and refunds are not guaranteed. Additional adjustments may incur extra charges.

  • Timely Payments: All invoices must be paid in full before your dress can be released.

Congratulations on your engagement and we are excited that we get the opportunity to be a part of making your day special!
